Influenced notably by Lynch's cinema, Bowie's and Xiu Xiu’s music, AXX°NN⤳ (pronounced "Action") envisions his music as part of a new emerging movement he calls "Neo-Surrealism." Tired of conventions and the constraints imposed by mainstream formats, AXX°NN⤳ has sought to break free from them in order to embody creative freedom. His attraction to experimentation drives him toward eclecticism and genre blending, aiming to challenge established norms. The strange, the mysterious, the unexpected, the dream world, and catharsis are integral elements of his sonic universe. However, he insists on keeping his music accessible to a wide audience.

Born in France, a pianist and multi-instrumentalist since childhood, AXX°NN⤳ (real name Alexandre Abat) developed a passion for musicology, which he pursued in his studies. Since 2018, he has been publishing numerous compositions and improvisations under the name "Poulpie," marking his first artistic project. But music alone was not enough for him; he dreamt of a total art form. He thus expanded his artistic scope to various practices, including composing for short films and exhibitions. Finally, it was upon watching “Inland Empire” that he found his artist name, marking the beginning of this project.

To date, AXX°NN⤳ has just released his latest album, “Terrible Mix”. This collection of covers pays tribute to major works, with the common thread being the whirlwind of emotions they evoke. These reimagined versions drift away from the original songs, opening a gateway to an alternative world—the distinctive style of AXX°NN⤳. This album broadens his universe in new directions, contrasting with his most ambitious work, “Time Wars”, a double concept album featuring thirty-five original compositions.

Far from being solely driven by creation, AXX°NN⤳ is also a pacifist artist committed to fighting social injustices. His opposition to violence and discrimination is a recurring theme in his discography. He holds a strong artistic ambition, driven by a desire for innovation, experimentation, and the exploration of "Neo-Surrealism." Thus, his work is interspersed with various elements such as raw emotions, disconcerting sound collages, theatricality, non-linearity, carefully crafted sonic textures—all in pursuit of his alternative vision of "Beauty."
