«Behind the name ASPSM lies a simple idea: to analyze and explain music and art universally. The ASPSMs serve as a neutral intermediary between two people to communicate their own feelings about a musical object. Indeed, since everyone has their own perception, it is often complex to express it without difficulties and communication errors, whether conscious or not. The ASPSMs will allow you to discuss all aspects of a musical object as you have perceived them, knowing that your interlocutor benefits from a complete understanding. This system succeeds in encompassing all existing musical styles where others, such as music theory, oral transmission, or UST (Temporal Semiotic Units), may sometimes have gaps. The ASPSMs have various uses, such as music criticism, pedagogy, musical analysis, research, or simply talking about music with someone... Each ASPSM is illustrated with concrete examples, making it accessible to everyone.

The ASPSMs are destined to evolve into future volumes to address other arts beyond music (cinema, visual arts, literature, etc.) as well as the particularly interesting subject of interdisciplinarity. However, once the system is understood for music, it can already be adapted more or less easily to other forms of art.»
